Calvary Youth Lock-In '08

We meditated upon Job's life and our lives for this year's youth retreat.
I prayerfully chose this to be our theme, for I've noticed that
a lot of my youth kids were having similar problems-pains of many forms and shapes in their lives.

(I really like the GoMuSin Girl clipart I found online.)

Our Friday theme was
(Job Chapters 1, 2, and 3)
Job's Pains & Our Pains.

Our Saturday theme was
(Job Chapters 38~42)
Job's Joys & Our Joys.
FOIL IT!

It's Saturday morning after the Se-Byuk-Ki-Do (early morning prayer service) and breakfast.
We don't know why, but the boys went back to sleep and fell fast asleep.
The girls were chatting and eating candies
while waiting for the boys to wake up from their winter sleep.
My foot! ;p
Oh, we love Josh's smile! Cheese!
Sally & Michael
We love our Strawberry Puffs!
Oops, I cut off Michale's face.
Let's try again.
Got it! A lot better!
The boys decided to go back to sleep during our morning break.
And they never woke up...until we started torturing them.
Do most guys like to take a nap in the morning?
It was so weird!
thunder-snore...Z!Z!Z!Z!Z!Z! ;p
Mike Teacher slept...and slept...like a baby.
Hurry! Go into the water!
We were in the car for 2 HOURS!
We didn't know that there was a surf contest going on at the Huntington Beach.
We were stuck in traffic on Beach Blvd. and PCH for two whole hours!
We only got to play 1 hr. and 30 min. at the beach,
but we were still happy that we got to play little bit at least. ;)

Jonathan: "Jason?! I'd rather look at my toes."
Jason: "Finally, we are at the beach. Yippee!"
Eddie: ... (-_-;)
Crocus and I
It was sunny!!
Skye is thinking deeply about something and playing in the sand.
Crocus and TaeHwan suntanning and listening to the music.
Mike Teacher warned the boys that whoever gets wet will get in my car on the way back to church. What?! Anyway, then he started playing with sand and burrying his legs.
More people joined, and it got bigger and taller!
Of course, Jason had to leave his buttprint on it.
Oh, boy... ;p
Eddie: "I'm gonna bury my leg and build a big sandcastle on top of it.
Please take pictures of how I make my sand castle."
Mike Teacher was busy carring the wet sand in a cup for Eddie.
He went back and forth and back and forth and on and on...
We started adding things and making the sandcastle bigger.
getting fancier and fancier every time we add stuff to our sandcastle
Do you see my hand and arm shadow holding the camera?! cool!
determined Mike
Julie is digging next to Mike Teacher.
What are you going to do with your pit?
Hmmmmm...curious...
Eddie carefully undug his burried leg.
Our sandcastle was still standing tall!! Yay!
rock, paper, scissors & taking sand away game
mike teacher lost it TWICE! hahaha ;D
burrying Julie's leg this time
hey, don't we love diggin' sand and buryin' legs?!
hahaha

We had a really great time together.

God, You're still so good to us.
Help us to look at our lives from the "half full of glass" view, never "half empty."
Your love endures forever.

(Job 1:20~21)

20 At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head.

Then he fell to the ground in worship 21 and said:
"Naked I came from my mother's womb,
and naked I will depart.
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away;
may the name of the LORD be praised."

22 In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.

Family Movie Night

Joy came home, so we decided to spend some quality family time together.
We ate Kal-Guk-Su at Myung-Dong in Cerritos and
went to Long Beach Town Center to see Kung Fu Panda.
It was a hilarious movie with an important lesson in it.
I really liked it! Po is so cool!
We took some pictures outside the theatre as we were waiting for the movie time to come.
The little fountain in front of the theatre was a good place to hang out.
We're the Han Family ladies!

The Han Family

Muddy Bears?! Chocolate covered Gummy Bears!
I never knew they existed until today.
They were good!
Do we look like the Muddy Bear?

I had a great time with my family.
I wish to spend more time with my sister Joy though.
It's really tough to see each other as often as we would like to
because she lives up north.
I thank God for giving me such a beautiful and wonderful sister.
Sisters are forever~!!
