Artistically inclined youth!

We gathered in a room for our Christmas skit one Sunday afternoon. Some youth kids were in an orchestra, so we were having a little break as we were waiting for the rest of the kids to come and join us. We started doodling on a piece of paper and decided to draw portraits for each other. Here are the portraits of me by my youth kids.
My! Are they artistically inclined!? ;D

Sacred Oratorio by George Frideric Handel

I went to Wilshire Church last night with my parents for Handel's Messiah Concert. It was a meaningful concert to attend because the concert was held to help the children in North Korea by prividing them with winter blankets and medical supplies. I was also blessed and surprised by the fact that Handel wrote and finished this amazing piece of music in 24 days-starting from August 22nd until September 14th in year 1741 when he was 56 years old. It is evident that it was God who inspired Handel to write Messiah. A Sacred Oratorio by George Frideric Handel...It was really great.
I went to bed around 11 p.m. last night and woke up at 11 a.m. this morning. I had a really good night sleep!! I also had a really relaxed & lazy day. I thank God that He's given me this free time to enjoy and rest. I even got a second to take a picture of myself in my pj robe! kkk I'm staying in my bed reading some books. I stayed home all day long until I got ready to go to church for our weekly youth Saturday meeting.

We've been practicing our skit for Christmas service for a while. I hope the kids will understand that we're doing this to glorify God and to celebrate Jesus' birthday. It looks like some of the youth kids are just not wanting to take part in our skit, and it really hurts my heart that the true meaning of CHRISTmas is being lost in the midst of all these busy schedules and things-to-do we have at homes and churches.

God, help us to see You and fix our eyes and hearts on You in this busy CHRISTmastime.
In the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, I pray. Amen.

Wittmann Wonderland 07

PTA run Christmas Party at Cerritos park East

Ethan calls me Mommy!!!!BIANCA, let's take a picture~!!!

(>0<) noooooooooooo~!!!!!

I accidently deleted all my photos in my computer...
All the pictures I've taken and kept for three years are completely gone!
Oh, boy... Life happens. I gotta deal with it, right?
Oh, so sad...

One verse came to my mind as I was trying to calm myself down over this tragedy.

"Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things."
(Colossians 3:2)

This is one of the verses I chose for our youth group A.M.F.L. (Morning First Love-1John4:19) Bible study this past Sunday. Our youth group is reading Colossians these days. We read a chapter, choose our favorite verses and write them down in our Bible study notebook, and share our verses and life applications with each other every Sunday. God surely has prepared me to deal with this situation by giving me this verse two days ahead. Amazing!

Lord, what else am I holding onto and not letting go on this earth?

Help me to keep my heart clean and mind clear from all the things that distract me from getting closer to You. Help me to be a true imitator of Christ. God, please be in total control of my eyes, ears, lips, heart, mind, hands, and feet. Let my answer be "YES" when You come and ask, "My daughter, are you ready to come home with me?" I love You Lord...

I Love You Lord

(Words & Music by Laurie Klein)

I love you, Lord

And I lift my voice

To worship You

Oh, my soul rejoice!

Take joy my King

In what You hear

Let it be a sweet, sweet sound in Your ear

"Then Samuel said, 'Speak for your servant is listening.'" -- 1 Samuel 3:10

Missiologist J. Herbert Kane wrote that a person will enhance the possibility of hearing God's call if he or she has:
1. An open mind
2. Attentive ear
3. Pure heart
4. Busy hands
5. Ready feet

Keeping your call clear and passionate

Self-discipline questions

1. Is my calling sure?

2. Is my vision clear?

3. Is my passion burning hot?

4. Is my character fully submitted to Christ?

5. Are my fears at bay?

6. Is my psychological baggage surrendered?

7. Are my ears open to the Spirit?

8. Is my pace sustainable?

Doctor & Throne ;p kkk

Jenny usually has lots of stories to tell and makes lots more stories for me to tell others.
Here are some recent ones that just crack me up whenever I think of those moments!!!
Here we go...

1) Jenny & Doctor

Jenny: "Ms. Han, can I go and see the doctor?"

Me: "Well, you may go and see the doctor after school with your mom."

Jenny: "Ms. Han, but the doctor is here right now."

Me: "Where?"

Jenny: "She's in the office, you know?"

Me: "In the office?"

Jenny: "Ya, I saw her this morning. Can I please go and see the doctor now?"

Me: ... (-__-;)...

Jenny called the school secretary "doctor" because she is the person who takes kids to the nurse's office and gives them ice bags or bandages. Oh, Jenny. You're so funny.

2) Jenny's Throne

Jenny: "Ms. Han, my throne hurts."

Me: "What did you just say?"

Jenny: "My throne hurts. It really hurts, you know."

Me: "Your throne?"

Jenny: "Ya, here." (She pointed at her throat!!!)

Me: "Oh, you mean your throat hurts! Wahahahaha~!!!!!"
(I couldn't stop laughing...(^O^;))

Jenny: "...Uh...Ummmm... Ms. Han, my...my...my...neck...hurts. Ya, my neck hurts."

Me: "Oh, Jenny...You're so cute!"

Her "throne" didn't really hurt. I told her to drink some water, and she was all fine after all. Kindergartners are just so adorable...

God, thank You for entrusting me with these little ones every school year.

Help me to teach them with all my heart every day, love everyone equally, and have much patience with them at all times.

Help me to treat them as if they are my very own children.

Help me to serve them as if I am serving You in my classroom.

Help me to remember that I was the slowest kid in my kindergarten class.

Help me not to forget how patient my teachers had been with me when I was their student.

Help me to remember my mother when I get frustrated with little ones that are so forgetful and slow, for she has been so patient with me all these years.

In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
