W/ AhLim @ Mimi's
I thank God for meeting AhLim this summer.
We were in the same summer class, Old Testament Survey.
She's getting her masters in Intercultural Studies at Biola.
She's very polite and kind to others.
I love her sense of humor as well.
We turned in our final research paper this past Saturday,
so we had to get together to celebrate all our hard work!

Mimi's has been a nice place for little gatherings,
and it was a good place for us again this time.
I just love how its surroundings and the food is very "homey."
We ordered 2 cups of French Onion Soup
Seafood Fettuccine
Asian Salad
They were really good! Yum~!
I really like Mimi's French Onion Soup.
There are two soups I crave whenever it rains:
Mimi's French Onion Soup
&
Souplantation's Chicken Noodle Soup
;p I don't know why.

After our brunch, we even had some time to get coffee and look around inside a little jewelry shop near the coffee shop. We could have bought some earrings for ourselves if we had more time, but AhLim had to go to work. We promised to get together again for shopping next time.
What else girls do? kkk

VBS 2008 In God's Big Backyard!!
We had a blast fun in God's Big Backyard this summer!
Our VBS 2008 theme was
Serving Jesus & Serving Neighbors in God's Big Backyard!
Our theme Bible verses were
(Mark 12:29~31)
"The most important one," answered Jesus,
"is this: 'Hear, O Israel,
the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
Love the Lord your God
with all your heart and
with all your soul and with all your mind and
with all your strength.'
The second is this:
'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
There is no commandment greater than these."

There were five lessons:
1. Serving Family
(Miriam saving her baby brother Moses)
2. Serving Friends
(Faithful friends putting a hole on the roof
for their paralyzed friend to meet Jesus and be healed)
3. Serving Neighbors
(A good Samaritan man helping a Jewish man)
4. Serving Community
(Zacchaeus meeting Jesus and giving back to his community)
5. Serving Jesus
(Peter and John healing a crippled man from birth in the name of Jesus)
in my kindergarten class at Wittmann.
I'm tutoring him this summer, so I invited him to our VBS.
My prayer is that all my school kids will come to know
that Ms. Han is a Christian who truly loves the Lord.
Hi Elizabeth! She's in the front of this pic.
but I'm tutoring him this summer as well.
He's already gone to his church's VBS with his friend above,
but I invited him anyway.
A fun place to come to relearn the Word of God
and meet Ms. Han & new friends!
Why not come, right?! hehehe ;p
Hi Julia! She's the one with pretty face and long hair.
She's a cutie!!
Wow, Micah is making his picture frame in the back!
It's a wonderful place located in San Pedro.
It was so much fun, and we even got to play at the beach there.
adults watching the kids, of course!!!
the kids' safety is our priority!
some sleeping
some wide awake
some screaming
some crying
some whatever
hahaha
You're soooooo cute!
Please come and find this picture here
and show it to your husband-to-be in 20 years, okay?
You're adorable!
(^O^)
Sleeping over at church on the second night was a lot of fun, too.
I wish I had some pics of the raccoon eyes and stars on the girls' faces.
;D Who drew on girls' faces anyway?!
Attending 5:30 AM prayer worship service was awesome
though some of us fell asleep during the service. kkk
The presence of God was definitely there among us all throughout our VBS!
Everyone was blessed, and we all had a great time together.
We love Jesus!
We serve Jesus by loving and putting others before us!

My friend took me out to dinner last night.
We went to Buca di Beppo.

I, of course, ordered their Eggplant Parmigiana & Tiramisu!
Bruschetta was really good, too!

Kimchi Mandu ;p
One of my tutorees' moms made Kimchi dumplings for me today.
They were the best!!!

I was on the way to this student's house for tutoring today.
I thought of what I should eat for lunch after tutoring.
I didn't have to think of what to eat at all
after eating these delicious dumplings.
Yum~!!!!

I'm getting fed everytime I tutor at my students' houses.
!3 kinds of snacks 3 times a day at 3 different houses!
Am I blessed!!!
I'm so grateful for their thoughtfulness!
Korean moms and grandmas know how to feed their guests!
I think I'm on the way to become one of them soon.
hahaha ;D
