Doctor & Throne ;p kkk

Jenny usually has lots of stories to tell and makes lots more stories for me to tell others.
Here are some recent ones that just crack me up whenever I think of those moments!!!
Here we go...

1) Jenny & Doctor

Jenny: "Ms. Han, can I go and see the doctor?"

Me: "Well, you may go and see the doctor after school with your mom."

Jenny: "Ms. Han, but the doctor is here right now."

Me: "Where?"

Jenny: "She's in the office, you know?"

Me: "In the office?"

Jenny: "Ya, I saw her this morning. Can I please go and see the doctor now?"

Me: ... (-__-;)...

Jenny called the school secretary "doctor" because she is the person who takes kids to the nurse's office and gives them ice bags or bandages. Oh, Jenny. You're so funny.

2) Jenny's Throne

Jenny: "Ms. Han, my throne hurts."

Me: "What did you just say?"

Jenny: "My throne hurts. It really hurts, you know."

Me: "Your throne?"

Jenny: "Ya, here." (She pointed at her throat!!!)

Me: "Oh, you mean your throat hurts! Wahahahaha~!!!!!"
(I couldn't stop laughing...(^O^;))

Jenny: "...Uh...Ummmm... Ms. Han, my...my...my...neck...hurts. Ya, my neck hurts."

Me: "Oh, Jenny...You're so cute!"

Her "throne" didn't really hurt. I told her to drink some water, and she was all fine after all. Kindergartners are just so adorable...

God, thank You for entrusting me with these little ones every school year.

Help me to teach them with all my heart every day, love everyone equally, and have much patience with them at all times.

Help me to treat them as if they are my very own children.

Help me to serve them as if I am serving You in my classroom.

Help me to remember that I was the slowest kid in my kindergarten class.

Help me not to forget how patient my teachers had been with me when I was their student.

Help me to remember my mother when I get frustrated with little ones that are so forgetful and slow, for she has been so patient with me all these years.

In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

The Armor of God!

I divided our youth kids into two groups and asked them to choose one person from each group to dress him/her in the armor of God. We had so much fun. My prayer is that this activity helped them to remember the Armor of God for a long time and understand what it means to dress themselves up with the Armor of God at all times.

Lord, help our youth kids to win the spiritual battle that they face the moment they open their eyes every morning with Your help and dress themselves in the Armor of God every day.
In the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, I pray. Amen.

Wittmann K. Thanksgiving Reenactment 2007

We had a Thanksgiving Reenactment. Every Thanksgiving, the kindergartners dress up as Native Americans and the teachers dress up as Pilgrims. The kids sang some fall and Thanksgiving songs and danced an Indian dance for the parents. Then we all had the famous Wittmann Thanksgiving Feast on the playground that the parent volunteers already set up for us! There are so many we are thankful for!!!!

More 31st Wedding Anniversay Pics =)

Out of all the choices of different restaurants, my parents chose to dine at Souplantation on their wedding anniversary night. I was totally shocked when my mom told me that she really, really, really wanted to go to Souplantaion. I was thinking of a little fancy restaurant. Well, I knew all along that Souplantaion was their favorite restaurant, but even for a wedding anniversary dinner?! kkkk Anyway, the food was good as usual, and their chicken noodle soup with chopped green onions (aka sam-kye-tang kkk ;p) and clam chowder were the best!!!

I love my parents!!!! I love you!!!!

Parents' 31st Wedding Anniversary

November 20th was my parents' 31st wedding anniversary.
I went to Honey Bakery and got their strawberry mocha cake.
It was good~!

We realized later that they were holding their hands like that for quite a long time.
I felt something thumping in my heart when I saw their hands in this picture.
This is love.
Just like the Bible says,
"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."
(Ecclesiastes 4:12)
God, thank You for being the third strand in their two strand-joined by marriage life and keeping their love for each other strong and faithful.

God, thank You for keeping my parents' marriage for 31 years.
I thank You for faithfully keeping them fairly healthy and blessing them with a lot of precious people and things in their 31 years of lives together.
Please continue to keep them healthy and answer their prayers according to Your will.
I love you Umma & Appa!!!

International Week-Multicultural Parade

We had a Multicultural Parade at school
to celebrate our International Week.

After the parade by grade levels, our principal called each culture's name out loud for pictures.
The people who were dressed as that culture walked to the center and got some pictures taken.

Frimpomaa and her mom Mrs. Addo in Ghana dress
I had Frimpomaa last year. Mr. and Mrs. Addo are very faithful Christians.

My 2007~2008 Kindergarten Class
I love you all!!

Kids in traditional Korean dresses and Ms. Han

!!! The boy on the right in the picture who is walking toward me is one of the students I have this year. He just turned 5 on November 1st. He's on his mission to tell me that someone hit him. He's adorable! He walks like a little robot. And his voice is so unique and cute!

God, thank You for giving me a culture.
I am very proud of my heritage and culture.
I am proud to call myself Korean.
Help me to become a daughter who will glorify You and my culture.

However, my very first identity is Christian.
I am a Christian who is an imitator of Christ and has a life-long mission to spread the Good News to the ends of the earth.
My second identity is Korean because both my parents are Koreans.
Moreover, I was born and raised in Korea for seventeen years.
My third identity is American because I became a citizen of the United States in 2003.
I have been living in the States for 11 years,
and I plan to live in this country for the rest of my life unless God puts me elsewhere.

Therefore, I am a Christian-Korean-American.

Just a thought:

Senator Paull Shin (Shin, Ho-Bum) wrote in his book,
"I was made in Korea and recycled in America."

I could associate myself with his statement with all my heart.

ThanksGiving!

LORD, I praise You for all the blessings in my life.

I thank You for watching over my family each night.

I thank You for the new breath every morning.

I thank You for waking us up in the morning each day.

I thank You for the house we live in to stay warm in this cold weather.

I thank You for our talents You've given to us to serve You.

I thank You for giving us jobs.

I thank You for EVERYTHING!

...

And, of course, I thank You for giving me these fingers to type up words

to express my deepest gratitude toward Your never-failing love and goodness.

/(^0^)/

Grace by Eric Enstrom

The youth & some elementary kids did a fabulous job

playing their own musical instruments and singing the song

to give thanks to our wonderful Abba God with the song Give Thanks.

Give Thanks

Give thanks with a grateful heart

Give thanks unto the Holy One

Give thanks because He's given

Jesus Christ, His Son

Give thanks with a grateful heart

Give thanks unto the Holy One

Give thanks because He's given

Jesus Christ, His Son

And now let the weak say, "I am strong"

Let the poor say, "I am rich

Because of what the Lord has done for us"

And now let the weak say, "I am strong"

Let the poor say, "I am rich

Because of what the Lord has done for us"

I pray that the Holy Spirit in them stirred their hearts today

as they were playing and singing the song for You.

I pray that the kids realized once again

how grateful we should be

for all the little and big things we take for granted.

LORD, help me to be content in You at all times.

Already Friday (-_-;)

God, it's already Friday. I can't believe it's already Friday!

I thought I was the only one who thought days are going by so fast.
I was wrong.
I've been asking around, and others are telling me the same thing--time flies!

I came to a decision that the sun is rising and setting faster than before.
And it'll only get faster as years go by...

(I'm really inspired by the sculptor of these pieces of art. I thank God for giving us such unique and special abilities to express our feelings and inner thoughts. However, I had to edit the picture due to nudity issues of the original sculpture.)

and cast off the troubles of your body,
for youth and vigor are meaningless."

God, give me patience and wisdom.

I feel that these are the things that I need the most these days. Help me to be patient with unanswered prayers, people around me, and myself. Help me to be wise and know what to do and say in different situations, or circumstances.

In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Veterans' Day

It's really good to get a day off from work, but it's even better to get a day off on Monday. I feel as if I haven't seen my kindergarten kids for several months when it actually has been 7 days including the weekend and the holiday. I miss them so dearly. I might scream with joy when I see them tomorrow. Oh, I really miss them!!!

Today is Veterans' Day. I pray for the families and their family members who are fighting in order to protect us and our nation. I pray that their empty seats for family holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners will be filled with warm thoughts and prayers. I pray that You will comfort the families that have lost their family members in wars. Help us not to take so many precious things for granted, but truly appreciate them and give thanks to You.

Wow, I look soooo dark next to Priscilla. Priscilla's dad is Caucasian and mom is Korean.

I met Gloria unni and her daughter Priscilla Ha-Eum Davis for lunch today. Priscilla is getting prettier each time I see her! She smiles a lot and loves to take pictures. Soooooooo cute! Having lunch with Gloria unni and seeing Priscilla made me want to have my own children, too. Where are you my godly and sincere husband-to-be? Aren't you ready? Are you waiting for me to be ready? I will faithfully wait upon God's time until He puts you in my life. ;)

God, bless and protect the family from all evil things. Give Demetrius and Priscilla Your wisdom and knowledge. Let them grow up to be godly and faithful servants of Yours. In the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, I pray. Amen.
