Jesus & Muslim

Yipeeee~!!

I waited so patiently for one whole week for this to happen!

One of my students brought a Children's Bible for me to read to the class.
The whole class sat on the carpet as they usually do for read aloud time.
As I was reading a page on Easter,
a student raised her hand and asked,
"Ms. Han, you're wearing a Jesus necklace."
I answered her,
"Yes, it's almost a Jesus necklace.
But this (held up the cross) is called cross."
She asked,
"Why do you wear a cross necklace?"
I explained,
"I wear this cross necklace because Jesus died on the cross for me.
That's why I love Jesus and wear this necklace.
This necklace reminds me how much Jesus loves me."

Then I went back to the line I was on and finished reading the story on Easter.

I was so happy and even wanted to jump up and down and shout,
"Yipeeee!"

Jesus, I love You!

Then a student blurted out,
"I love Muslim God."

I just nodded and said a silent prayer over him as I was smiling at him.
'God, help him to grow up to know You and be a man of faith.
In Jesus name. Amen.'

My journey as a Christian teacher in a public school has only begun...
LORD, give me much wisdom and knowledge as I look for ways to plant the seed of faith in these tiny children.
